DEADLINES FOR FALL 2012:

* Finnish students who apply for Master of Materials and Processes of Sustainable Energetics - 1st of August. For Finnish students who have graduated from Universities of Applied Sciences, it is suggested to apply before August 1.

Admission procedure for PhD students.

Different national education systems have different standards. Therefore it is always recommended to check with the International Study Center regarding the requirement for your country. For more information please visit also country spesific requirements link.

An addition, some of the programmes have special prerequisites.

Bachelor level applicants are required to have completed their secondary education and possess university eligibility.

PhD applicants are required to choose the topic of the research as well as to agree with the Supervisor. Please find more information and the admission process for PhD studies

To apply the applicant has to fill the application in our online application system and send signed application form to us together with the following documents:

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS (for Bachelor and Master applicants)

  • notarized/attested copy of a secondary education certificate if applying for Bachelor and diploma of Bachelor's degree if applying for a Master programme. Please provide a notarized translation if these document are not in English.
  • notarized/attested transcript of records/mark list of the secondary school if applying for Bachelor and if applying for a Master programme Bachelor studies academic transcripts. Please provide notarized translation if these document are not in English.
  • examination certificate
  • copies of the identification pages of passport
  • 1 passport size photo
  • receipt of application fee for 40 EUR. Application fee is non-refundable. The details how to pay application fee are available HERE
  • non-native English speakers are requested to present a copy of TOEFL/IELTS score report. The score of TOEFL test should not be less than 500 (173 computer based, 61 iBT). Requested IELTS score: 5,0 and above. Tallinn University of Technology TOEFL code: 8665
  • CV/thesis proposal/ personal statement/ motivation letter (please see the special programme prerequisities)

 * All those above listed documents need to be translated into English and notarized copies. Documents can not be self-attested!

After receiving all required documents TUT will send those to Estonian ENIC/NARIC for evaluation. The Estonian ENIC/NARIC evaluates foreign qualifications.

In academic recognition the evaluators mainly seek to assess whether the applicant is capable of continuing studies in the chosen direction and at the chosen level.
