An open lecture "Parliamentary Elections in Finland – Not the Same Story This Time?“

by the Finnish Ambassador to the Republic of Estonia His Excellency Aleksi Härkönen will be held on Wednesday, April 13 at 12 p.m. in a I-202 (behind the Aula).

After the lecture the Ambassador will meet with the Finnish students, who study at TUT.

On April 7th a group of 82 students from the University of Amsterdam will be visiting TSEBA to discuss cooperation between the two institutions. There will be an open lecture organized for them, students are more than welcome and encouraged to join us! Come to meet, greet, share and discuss!

TSEBA birthday party for students on October 1st

TSEBA invites all its students to its birthday party on 1 October at 19.00!
 

Greetings will be said by the dean of TSEBA, Üllas Ehrlich, alumni and professors. Music will be made and dance songs played by Marten Kuningas and the band. The surprise performer is mystic.
The party will be held, cake, champagne and snacks will be served in the ground floor lobby of the TSEBA building, Akadeemia tee 3. After 22.00, the party will continue in Club Privé.

No entry fee!

NOOR - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - PBA IN AUSTRIA

Eesti Erinoorsootöö Ühing noOR is promoting a call for participants for a partnership Building Activity called “Teenage Kicks” which will take place in 09th until 13th November 2010 in Vienna, Austria.

The project intends to bring youth worker together who work with young people aged 13-17, preferably from socially disadvantaged families; share work experiences in different countries and Have a group of youth worker coming from at least 10 different countries (within EU).

We will also Introduce the EU funding programme “Youth in Action” Action 1.1 – youth exchanges and Discuss and experience Intercultural Learning, Establish partnerships for future exchanges and Develop concrete youth exchange projects for 2011.

We intend to select Youth workers or NGO members directly working with youngsters in the age group 13-17, willing to organise international youth exchanges with their youngsters or to work with us to make exchanges.

The training course will be hosted in Vienna (Austria) and will have groups from Austria, Iceland, Finland, Northern Ireland, Estonia, Italy, France, Slovenia, Hungary and Spain. There are available 2 places for this activity. The training course will be held in English.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 300 EEK per participant.

2010 election for the dean of TSEBA, TUT

Based on the rector’s directive No 104/P of 15 March 2010, elections have been announced for the office of the dean of Tallinn School of Economics and Business Administration, TUT for the years 2010−2015. The election process will be as provided in the TUT Election Rules.

For the 2010 election process for the dean of TSEBA, TUT, a committee has been established with the rector’s decree, comprising Professor Ene Kolbre (Department of Business Administration), Professor Kaie Kerem (Department of Economics) and Professor Kaarel Kilvits (Department of Public Economy). The Committee is committed to monitoring that the election for the dean related processes are lawful.

Candidates for the office of the dean of TSEBA, TUT for the years 2010−2015 can be nominated until 03.05.2010. The names of the candidates shall be made public and approved by the Committee who shall also check their qualification and conformity to the requirements for the position of the dean.
Nominations of candidates for the office of the dean may be made by any of the Faculty’s regular professors, lead research fellows, Faculty council members and the councils of the internal units of the Faculty. Candidates may be nominated from among the regular full-time professors of the Faculty.

Nominations shall be recorded by the secretary of the Faculty Council, who shall communicate the list of nominated candidates to the chairman of the election committee on the working day following the expiration of the deadline for nominations.

According to the TUT rector’s directive, Marianne Kallaste, consultant for master’s and doctoral studies, was appointed secretary of the Committee.

The chairman of the Committee shall convene a meeting of the Faculty Council no later than 10 days after the expiration of the deadline for nominating candidates for the office of the dean. The candidates shall address the meeting of the Faculty Council on their programme of Faculty development.

The election shall be held by secret vote in accordance with sections 24 and 25 of the Election Rules.

The adequately formulated results of the election shall be communicated by the chairman of the election committee to the personnel department who shall prepare the rector’s directive. The results of the election for the office of the dean shall be validated by the rector, who may also reject the result if the procedure of the election was infringed.

Student Council is visiting Riga Technical University 

The representatives of the student council will be visiting RTU 9-11 April. The visit is financed by BALTECH exchange programme (see more information on the HOMEPAGE) and is bilateral - RTU student council will visit TUT 23-25 April.

During the stay in Riga we will learn more about RTU and their student council, visit a company, participate in lectures, explore the city etc.

This time the representatives of The Student Council of TSEBA are Tatyana Kasima, Valdis Sprogis, Madis Einpalu, Meelis Sääsk and Maris Saaver.
