It is my greatest pleasure to welcome you to Tallinn University of Technology at Tartu. The Tartu campus of Tallinn University of Technology (Tartu College) was established as a university branch campus in 2005. We have a distinctive mission that sets us apart from the other universities in Tartu – to support Estonia’s sustainable development through research and science-based academic higher education in the fields of engineering, technology, design and natural sciences. I believe that Estonia and especially Tartu has never needed our college as much as it does now, as engineering is the key of the development of our country.
Achieving an internationally recognized position is a very ambitious task that requires the right decisions and best people. Tartu College is remarkably attached to international network. As we continue to grow, we have to invite more researchers and students from other countries to our teams.
Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the following objectives:
Our aim is to reach the forefront of educational and research establishments through quality and academic freedom, defined as freedom to conduct research, teach or communicate ideas or facts without being targeted for repression. We genuinely take care of our students. Whatever their academic goals, we look forward to helping the students attain them. We draw on a commitment to making our university programs accessible to everyone who has an ambition to benefit from our academic life.
Welcome to Tartu!
